8-Day Blog Post: NOAA Removes Most Humpback Whales From Endangered Species List
Recently on The Huffington Post, an article about humpback whales caught my eye. Humpback whales have been on the brink of extinction for the past ten years and it finally seems as if the whale population is growing again. The humpback whale has been placed under federal protection and they are protected in U.S. waters by the Marine Mammal Protection Act. The government has aided in saving much of the marine life, yet there are still disputes regarding financing the growth of marine life. Hopefully, there will be compromise and the government can agree to support and help all marine life in the upcoming years.
